so, today I finished my finals. wow. VERY surreal. and SO SO fabulous. is very strange, is the end of 4 years of my degree, is the end of 19 years of education – and is finished. has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, getting through finals with back pain and stress. at times it felt like the end was never going to come. but today it did. and boy does it feel good!

is a very very odd feeling that I don’t have to get up tomorrow morning and sit at my desk revising all day. that I can sleep. and that I can watch TV, see films, read books that aren’t academic, read magazines, see friends – just have some time that isn’t spent working. a very very odd feeling indeed. but in no way unpleasant – it just hasn’t really sunk in yet. off to brighton for a few days next week to spend some much needed time with the nearest and dearest, and for general fun and relaxation. hurrah. though shan’t be at a loose end for long: in just two short weeks I move down to london and after a short and much-needed holiday in spain with my mum, I start my brand new job on 5th july. a whole new life begins. and I cannot wait

was a day of big accomplishments really – I finished finals, he finished an album. not bad for an average friday in june…
